MTTCC #49 Candy Canes Theme starts 9 December 2022

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My heart's excited that 2 techniques that I've not really done too much before seemed to have worked for this card. Yea! I'm pleased with the results.

For me this is my clean and simple style! It's not overloaded with a mix of patterns or colors or embellishments. It does have some sheen and sparkle within the red, white, and black hued palette.

This candy cane Christmas card is my inspiration project for My Time To Craft Christmas challenge blog. We're getting close to ending our 2nd year as a sister, spin-off from MTTC, a general occasion mix of themes. Theme #49 is about candy canes, so include that iconic letter J/shepherd's hook red and white striped shape on your winter holiday cards before December 22.

Technique #1: enamel/pearl finish red dots are arranged in a curved wave instead of straight line.

Technique #2: red glitter glue was applied around each candy cane cutout (The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby for the patterned paper). I used an alphabet stencil "J" on the back side of the paper with 2 going one direction and 1 going the opposite. Then I enlarged each one by 1/8" or so around the outside of the traced stencil to make them a bit larger. Cut them out. Inked edges in red. Glued in place and then carefully piped the red glitter glue around each one. Allowed the glue to dry for about 5-6 hours before scanning on my computer printer.

Other supply vendors:

a. the red, pink, and white floral cardstock is from the Mint Berry paper pad (The Paper Studio); it's my 2022 goal for the FB group 100 Patterned Papers challenge to get bashed this year

b. the "MC" red metallic foil dazzles/stickers are from Paper Wishes website; so is the little white and silver snowflake

c. the reddish orange glitter specialty cardstock and the black textured cardstock are from my stash; I've had several pieces of both for 1-2 years
