2022 MTTC April 22 #480 Outdoor Property Markings like Fence Gate Wall Gazebo Theme DT inspiration

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! It's a wonderful feeling to be in the midst of springtime weather and all the promises of the renewal in nature! The new theme is a terrific choice for this season too!

My Time To Craft challenge blog's #480 has the theme of outdoor property markings such as fence or gate. This can be plural too so it would be great for farm and garden settings, home yards, castles, and so much more. Some more brainstorming ideas are: arbors, arches, trellises, gazebos, retaining walls, hedgerows, and tree lines. The competition starts April 22 and lasts 13 days.

DT inspiration commitment #1:

Hello, dear card:

*click on this 2nd cropped scan in order to see more detail of the pocket calendar painting image:

Design notes for "Hello, dear" card:

1. dimensions of sage green cardstock = 4.25" high x 5.5" wide

2. white cardstock is actually 4" square but only seeing a portion of it

3. scraps of 2 patterned papers from the Mint Berry paper pad from The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby

4. scraps of kraft brown card and aqua card

5. the upcycled pocket calendar photo credit goes to Terry Redlin painting used in a 2020 Pocket Calendar distributed by Father Flanagan's Boys Home located in the USA

6. from Bluebells and Buttercups collection from Craft Consortium= the fawn wood die-cut and enamel dots were purchased from Paper Wishes website recently

For my design team inspiration commitment #2, I made this spring season stylized scene birthday card:

Design notes:

a. mid-gray tone cardstock flat base is 3.5" deep and 6.5" wide; some moody blues were smudged into cloud scallops and then later it was placed on a 5" x 7" light blue cardstock

b. the mint green cardstock behind the half yellow flower doily is about 3.5" deep and about 6.25" wide; some black ink and brown coppery tones were added to simulate earth

c. floral washi tape (My Mind's Eye), die-cut posies, and die-cut butterfly along with the half of a flower shaped doily help give a springtime feel

d. the fence clipart image was printed on kraft paper and was found online at Clipsarts co

e. the green sentiment strip is actually a neon green so in person there is more contrast; sentiment stamps have been in my stash for awhile
