MTTC #491 Theme of Autumn Colors Pick 3 DT Projects for 23 September 2022

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! Oh I so enjoy a wonderful autumn season with cool temps so I can enjoy my sweaters! Sadly the last few years in Illinois, we've had a lot of unusual hot days and very few cool clear days before snowflakes start appearing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that 2022 will be a perfect autumn weather season! :)

One of the other design team members at My Time To Craft suggested we have a pick 3 color theme and I thought this would be perfect if we time it for fall/autumn season. So for September 23 to October 7, 2022 make sure to craft with your 3 colors from the simple color board image found at the website.  (and you can use more than 3 if you want!)

I've been making 2 projects per challenge for several months already and I did again for this challenge. Card #1 uses beige/kraft brown, soft sunflower yellow, and a dull green. The glossy printed cardstock did not take the colored pencil leads very well. The sunflower yellow really bleached out with scanning, too. Also the tiny areas made it hard to get lead transferred. But it's still sweet and encouraging Bible verse sentiment===

design notes:

1. cardstock from stash

2. enamel dots = Craft Consortium

3. printed cardstock panel= Colorful Prayers, set of 20 Unique Scripture Cards to Color by Crown Jewlz, 2021 from Ashland, Ohio and distributed by Greenbrier International (Dollar Tree store find)

4. the 2 paper flowers = Dear Lizzy/American Crafts

Card #2= greens, yellows, some brown, and some black; there is some red ink in the dabbing around the perimeter of the base cardstock

c. the beautiful 5" x 6" section of a sheet from Lake Life paper pad by Fancy Pants Design

d. base cardstock is actually neon orange but the scanning as faded it to a squash yellow; Neenah

  3. Wow Becca, both cards are awesome. I like the effect of the pencils on the glossy paper. And that scene of the second card is gorgeous, I love how you have framed it and the leaf and the cord is perfect for it. Hugs, María.

  6. That is certainly a beautiful mountain scene, very restful. I love the paper on the first card and pretty colouring even if it was tricky. Thanks for Shopping your Stash with us this time.

  7. Nicely done! Thanks for linking up last week at Crafting Happiness Challenges. This week the card theme is trees - it can be a forest, a leaf, a Christmas tree, etc. The Not a card theme is always anything goes and doesn't have to follow the theme. Hope you'll share more of your art with us! Sorry for the delay in commenting, but we've been in the process of moving and still trying to sort and unpack this week.
