Don't Throwaway Scraps Thursday on 13 March 2025

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!

post's purpose/why: This is my first Thursday edition for Don't Throwaway Scraps which hopefully will be a returning series 2 or more Thursdays per month. I'm a scrap hoarder! YES! I hate throwing away usable sections of papers and cardstocks! I've got a large box and a smaller one stuffed full. There are some full sheets of papers and cardstocks with most cut at 6" square and the larger box does have solid color sheets of paper and cardstocks but lots of scrap cuts of different sizes!

when: Thursday, March 13, 2025

what: PROJECT #1 = Get Well bright and bold card

notes for #1:

1. white cardstock base plus envelope from A2 pack = Crafter's Square

2. turquoise blue cardstock plus the bright fuchsia pink behind the overlay (scrap cuts) = Recollections

3. bright color geometric print paper scrap = very old paper; don't remember the vendor; probably 10-15 years in my stash box

4. heart cut-outs scrap papers = old stash; woodblock stamps = Hampton Arts

5. black brocade print overlay panel = I think it's old from Webster's Pages

6. orchard embossed flower stickers = Crafter's Square (sheet/package)

7. dark brown gel pen = Zebra Clicart

Project #1 link-ups:

a. As You Like It; new; monochrome or colorful? and why theme; MY card is colorful and even the other 2 projects in this post have neutral browns but there are still accent colors. As a left-hander, I tend to favor bright vivid colors for my creative brain half...

b. Try It On Tuesday; new on Tues March 11; theme is 'for a lady'; My bright color geometric get well card will be sent to a female relative that is having surgery next week.

c. Neglected Stuff; new on March 2; theme is anything goes with at least 1 old item; MY card's bright geometric paper scrap has been hoarder; I don't remember the vendor but the paper pack had lots of fun modern geometric papers and it was bought at Big Lots; I've hoarded the last bits of this printed paper because of my love for bright bold colors!

    1. Hi, Elaine!!! BTW: Elaine was my mom's middle name and it's my sister's middle name. Then she gave it to her oldest daughter for middle name who gave it to her daughter! Back to business: I appreciate the acknowledgement of my entry and your time at my blog post!
