Loving my HAOOCAYR #26 DT projects on 1 May 2025

why: This post shares my #26/May 2025 design team member projects for HAOOCAYR or Halloween and Other Occasions Crafts All Year Round! There are 2 main monthly themes of Halloween and Birthday and then owner Deanne has 2 optional topic themes to make it easy to link up several projects each month! Outer space and Sports are #26 options. 

when: #26 starts May 1, 2025 and lasts to May 31. 

what: Project #1= Flying High in the Sky Birthday card

how-to notes #1:

1. orange cardstock base is approx. 3.5" wide and 4-4.5" = Art Skills

2. turquoise scrap = Recollections

3. two print paper scraps= SU

4. soft yellow cardstock scrap = Neenah

5. vintage airplane image (front cover for a mini kids party favor note pad) = set of multi-print favor note pads  at Dollar General; upcycled

6. sentiment stamps = from a birthday mix stamp set = Crafter's Square

7. white cardstock scrap  for doodled cloud = Georgia Pacific

8. black ink stamp pad = Hero Arts

9. outlining, doodling = Art Skills marker or Zebra Clickarts

21. white cardstock started as 6" square; trimmed to 5.5" square = Art Skills

22. stencil sheet for banner and "HB" = Crafter's Square

23. all-star image is cover from a kid's party favor notepad; multi-design pack = bought at Dollar General; several years ago

24. Canary Yellow, Beach Blue and Dusk Blue alcohol markers = Arteza

25. red-orange and dark brown markers = stash items

26. faux stitch marks and outlining = black non-smudge retractable marker pen = Zebra Clickarts

27. Sandcastle Tan cardstock scrap = Martha Stewart sold through CutCardStock

c. I Love Promarkers; started Apr 30; theme of Anything Goes using markers; I've used both alcohol ink markers and standard watercolor markers for the sports-themed birthday card

d. Little Red Wagon; still open; theme is "Use Your Stash"; actually both cards have little images that are from a set of kids' party favor note pads. I thought the graphics were too cool not to use somehow. I found these at my mom's house and brought them home to upcycle! The All-Star with 4 sports' balls was perfect for a sports theme!

e. Love To Scrap; just opened and stays open for 6 weeks!; anything goes; My sports-theme birthday card has a scrap of tan/sand cardstock behind the sports balls image and includes lots of stenciling and inking/coloring with different markers

f. Krafty Chicks; just opened for Thursday and 1st day of the month; theme is 1st week/birthday; My sports-theme card is a birthday card. A great kids/guy's card.

Loving my ConBC #13 for May 2025 DT art journaling card using Bingo Column Ii

why/purpose: this posting showcases my newest owner/DT contributions to Christmas [or not] Bingo Challenges (ConBC) using the #13 bingo board Column Ii (for the art journaling card) and Column Bb (for the tag set).

when: #13 starts May 1 to June 15, 2024

what: Project #1: art journaling card variation

notes for #1: Column Ii elements used

1. one layer = thin index card = Jot (chicken ring set with covers and elastic band closure)

2. green = yellow-green of the Lemon Lime Twist stamp pad and then the grass green of Emerald Envy stamp pad = SU

3. free = grayish-purple stamp pad for butterflies and the postage stamp kind of journal stamp; lilac pink, yellow, orange, bright bold pink/magenta ink dots from markers; black ink from Hero Arts stamp pad

4. stamped images or text = both ==> plants, butterflies and journal text stamps are from Crafter's Square; girl image stamp is from Creative Devotion; 'you're kind of the best ever' stamp (might be SU; in unmarked plastic bag)

5. ink smears and/or blending = for smearing: lemon lime twist was applied first and then pink pirouette went on top before stamping or adding ink dots= SU stamp pads

21. TAG(s) = 2 different scraps of red cardstock used = Pen + Gear for the brighter red; Neenah for the duller red

22. Monochrome = everything is red except twine, white lettering (both are neutrals); wood laser cut pieces are both from different multi-packs = Crafter's Square

23. Free = foil stickers by Hallmark (however they are red); same for wood elements (no wood listed but they are red

24. Washi tape = a long paper tape strip was cut into separate words in order to fit on the heart; vendor is unknown; didn't receive in any packaging; came in a kindness box

25. Fiber or fabric = my fiber choice is twine; came from pack with the wood heart = Crafter's Square

c. tag set = Little Red Wagon; new on Apr 30th; theme is Use your stash; the sentiment heart tag uses a washi/paper tape strip that I've hoarded; I wanted to use it because it was red and fit the love/affection vibe but it was lengthy so I chopped it apart; the wood laser heart and wood rose have been stash items for 1 year in February.

1. the floral 4"x6" card (cut-a-part) = Christmas Vintage Simple Lodge = Simple Stories

3. silver hammered foil decorative tape (from 3 diff colors/designs) = DIY Crafts/American Crafts
