Friendship theme card 2 combines Sketchy Saturday and SOS and CKC blog challenges

Celebrating friendship

Isn't this so sweet?!!! I haven't decided who to mail this to yet, but I love the little doily section at the top...and the soft pastel plaid paper section, the little lady bugs border sticker, the teal pearl gems, and ….

Some of the suppliers/vendors are:
a. peach floral washi tape and pocket card = My Mind's Eye
b. metallic ink stamp pads = Hampton Art
c. Bloom Where You Are Planted quote, leaves, stems set = Paper Sweeties website
d. teal blue pearl gems and teal blue flower stick-ons bought at Dollar Tree
e. "Marshmallow" white cardstock for the base of the card = Colorbok

Link-up participation elements for submissions to the following:

CKCB: March 6th was mini kit challenge; March 12th was Challenge #1 for frames

For the March 2019 challenge, instead of photographing 1 large kit, I took time to divide items into 6 mini kits. This photo shows March mini kit #1 from which most of the supplies for this card came from.
Would you consider the tape/sticker corner pieces to be a frame for the pocket card?

SOS #391: very subtle silver metallic stamped quote over the stems and leaves says "Bloom Where You Are Planted" ; inside which I didn't photograph is simply stamped "With love" in gold metallic ink

SK SAT #43: use the sketch design shown; for the sentiment, I didn't want to cover up this subtle design pocket card so I didn't put a message on that side of the sketch layout https://laurelseabrookdesigns.blogspot.com/2019/03/sketchy-saturday-with-i-heart-us.html

Tip the sketch design to its left and then cut off the bottom or right side white space and you should see my interpretation for the shaded areas shown on #43 Sketchy Saturday. The pocket card already had the peach stripe in the center of the card so I'm letting that represent the narrow rectangle shape on the sketch. The large outlined rose on that same pocket card fills up the circular shaded shape on the sketch. The plaid scrap section represents the lightest gray section shaded on the sketch and the doily helps represent the mid-gray section that extends up above the light gray section.

The base paper was stamped with gold metallic ink (leaves and stems), silver metallic ink (quote: Bloom Where You Are Planted), and white metallic ink (large circular rose-like flowers). For this card I decided to place teal blue flower stick-ons above the stamped stems. It does cover most of the white metallic ink stamped roses, though.

If you pay close attention to subtle differences, this above pic shows the white circular flower shapes and you can see some silver but may not be able to read the words. I didn't want exactness. I wanted abstract.

Making cards in pairs seems to keep me better focused and getting more done in about the same time as I use most of the same kit supplies and stamping both backgrounds together. Yea! With the sketch, the friendship theme, the mini kit, etc. this card was made in about 1/2 hour!!! This is such a sweet friendly spring card!

A lovely card for my lovely best friend forever! This card shown above and the focus of my last blog post was also made from the same mini kit for CKC blog for March 2019.
