Thinking of You during hot summer with Be Cool at the Beach card MTTC no 400 DT project

Another print-rich colorful card using some small paper pads and partial sets of cardstock and 12 inch square scrapbook size papers that are for my personal goal to use during the second half of June!

Be Cool at the Beach

MTTC link for their blog post to read all the details and see what the other designers did (very diverse!!!)=  http://mytimetocraftchallenge.blogspot.com/2019/06/challenge-400-oh-i-do-like-to-be-beside.html

#400 "Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside" theme...so anything beachy...fish, mermaids, shells,

I decided to try to combine one of my favorite ways to beat the heat, ice cream, with the seaside theme. The triple scoop cone images are freebies from Scribbles Designs!

And then I found the weirdest yet perfect for me coloring book page free printable during an online search!

I had the 5" x 7" turquoise blue paper in the partial set of cardstock (see photos below), the rainbow type diagonal stripe print paper, the rainbow dot print paper and the flamingo print paper from my mid-June stash to bash.

The only new paper is the kraft paper (4.5" x 6.5"). Even the mid-blue stickers for "Be Cool" are old stock.

This card is very busy but I tried to repeat lots of the same colors from the cones (lifted up by small foam squares) into the coloring book scene.

a & b = Facebook groups 100 Pattern Papers Challenge (the premise is to use 100 print/designer papers from your stockpile in 1 year's time) and Bash Your Scrapbook Stash (the current June main challenge is to pick a paper pad to bash or wipe out during the month). So these 2 larger size papers in partial sets and the 2 small size paper pads that had some sheets already used were added to my 2019 papers to use:

Above: the turquoise blue was used for the card base
Below: these partial set of papers weren't used

Below: from the 6" square paper pad: the flamingo paper was used (triangle corner section)
from the 5" x 7" paper pad: the rainbow dot (approx. 3.5" x 4.5") and the stripe (triangle corner section) papers were used

A few more scanned pics of this card:

different elements are:
1. markers
2. colored pencils
3. digital stamp image (ice cream cones with triple scoops)
4. coloring book page printable
5. cardstock
6. kraft paper
7. 3 patterned papers

the stickers used for this card are the alphas "BE COOL"

The picture below was taken first with the upper right corner ice cream cone was angled off the top of the card. I changed it to follow the side of the card however by doing that it blocked off some of the rainbow stripes from being seen...humph....

    1. Maxine: Thanks! Couldn't believe finding this quirky scene!!! I was thinking more like a ice cream vendor cart or truck next to the beach but this coloring page was just too whimsical--had to use!!!
