Forgeries on the Fourth CKC blog inclusion as their June 2020 Guest Designer

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! This past week as I prepared my copy-cat kit for the June 1st reveal at CKC blog, I also worked ahead to include forgery cardstock sheets in 4 of the key colors from the inspiration kit. Those are pink, blue, green, and yellow.

I used several stencils, green acrylic paint, and sponge daubers to get the basic floral and leaves random patterning made. Some small floral stickers were added to the larger, more open styled flowers. And then I also used a fine tip green Sharpie marker to outline the leaves and flowers. I noticed in the inspiration kit that their full busy floral patterned paper had delicate thin outlining, so I wanted to attempt that to give the motifs some definition in shape.

Here's my project using part of the light green sheet:

Below: laid out some items I thought I'd be using; I did use the glitter flowers, the 2 washi tapes, lots of gem dots, and only 1-- 4"-wide panel of the forged cardstock and a scrap strip off the original sheet

Let's backtrack to a collage photo of the curated kit titled "Wonderful World" available from CLIQUE Kits in March 2020. It was an integrated kit with products from Alexandra Renke, Vickie Boutin, and Heidi Swapp.

And then these are the motivators for using a new TN (traveler's notebook):

TN Times with Lisa and Lori; May 2020 sketch and prompt challenges are usable until June 9th.

I reversed the sketch pages. And made a few other tweaks due to either the forgery cardstock or using 3 cropped photos instead of 2.

TN Times with Lisa and Lori= May 2020 can be found with all their details using Lisa's posting and/or Lori's posting. Lisa H is in charge of the sketch layout and Lori S is in charge of the prompt. You can participate in one or the other or both. I've used both.

  1. What a pretty page Becca - I love lilacs, but they are a noxious plant here as they grow o vigorously and invade the bush, swamping the native plants.
    Stay safe

    1. Oh, I didn't realize that about lilacs! However, thanks for commenting on my TN layout, Maxine!

  2. Great forgery and layout in the TN.

  3. This is so pretty, Becca! I love lilacs and wish I had a lilac bush in my yard - they smell so good! Thanks so much for sharing with us at TN Time With Lisa & Lori!

My heartfelt thanks for visiting my blog.
