Masculine and or weather themes for TCCC blog no 221 new post reveal

The new challenge at TCCC is sponsored by All Dressed Up and SheepSki Designs.

My "Cool Dudes" image from ADU is super cute and perfect for a winter weather connection, hence the added blue ink snowflakes and white glitter foam one. I've included light blue/gray cardstocks to keep it cold sky color-related. Colorful puffy alpha sticker sets provide a bright contrast to grab your attention. And then a chromatography type watercolor marker + water treatment on coffee filters bled through to the paper toweling which I decided was too terrific not to use too. So a section got added for a backdrop and helps reinforce the bright hues!

I'm the only one on the DT crew that used this image, so please use the TCCC link to see what other wonderful images from ADU were available to use by the team and also check out what half the crew had to use from SheepSki...terrific images to support masculine AND weather themes. There are some creative interpretations!

*Another reminder= make sure to look at what the other DT crew members have created using images from ADU or SheepSki. Take time to give them some feedback, too.

MTTC no 399 watercolor theme for the new blog post reveal and my DT Christmas card

Merry Christmas with frosty lavenders and pinks and greens

This newest card is another mixed media creation and I'm excited to get another Christmas card made for this winter. My watercolor element is the half circle coffee filter used as a backdrop to the glitter tree. [watercolor markers + coffee filter + water] And then to save space on this 5 by 7 card I stacked the Merry Christmas gift tag that I've repurposed on top of the glitter tree. But then I couldn't leave enough alone and had to add some gem dots to act as ornaments and add some smaller glitter tree foam stickers, too!

I'm on the DT team for My Time To Craft so I'm going to highlight my designer badge:

Give Thanks card for PPCC blog DT card for no 434 challenge

Thanks go to A Day For Daisies for this sweet autumn image! During the past two years I've enjoyed seeing the products created by ADFD. They have a recognizable line stroke that I think is delicate and whimsical. My heart has broken this past week to hear through Facebook groups and blog comments that ADFD is closing their shop. So again I give thanks and appreciation to ADFD!

Another sponsor at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges blog this week is Di's Digi Stamps. They are another company with adorable images!

With this scattered leaves scene, I kept the sentiment simple "Give Thanks". I believe this is my first 2019 Thanksgiving card!

The orange and green glitter damask cardstock is from Recollections/Michaels. This was my first cut into this gorgeous paper! I've been holding onto it for about 16 months!!! It is so beautiful!

Overall dimensions: 5" deep x 7" wide; it is very difficult to see from the scanning but I added light blue swirls to show wind motion.

There's been a long delay today in the PPCC new post not being revealed yet, so I will edit it in when it becomes available. I'm checking at least every hour. UPDATE: released on 6/13/19

With the glitter cardstock's business in texture and patterns, I decided to keep the embellishments simple and limited to gold alpha stickers and yellow/gold bling mesh wrap style trim.

b. 100 Pattern Papers Challenge group on Facebook:
I haven't kept track of my total papers used since January 1st, however I appreciate this group's efforts to use interesting themes, products, and/or sketches to motivate me to use up old inventory. As mentioned earlier in the post, I've hoarded this amazing glitter damask textural overlay of stacker ruler images patterned cardstock for at least 16 months. I hated to cut into the 12" square CS but I need to share its beauty with someone else--someone special.
