MTTC #505 Easter Flowers or Spring Flowers Theme DT inspirations

Today's feature: MTTC #505 theme of Easter Flowers or Spring Flowers

Design Team inspiration projects--yes! I've made 2. One for Easter and another for spring friendship.

When: Competitions runs April 7-20, 2023 starting and ending time reference 12:00am CST/Chicago

Card #1= Thinking of You spring friendship card

A few design notes:

1. the printed base card and the floral wreath circle die-cut (without the stamping) were part of a card kit that was gifted to me; I was given the suggested final look however they showed a pinkish mauve rectangle die-cut shape to be centered under the circle wreath die-cut. I didn't have that piece so I had a lightbulb moment to use colored pencils to repeat many of the hues of the wreath into the quilted design print on the card base!!! Amazing isn't it??!!!

2. the rose stamp and sentiment "thinking of you" are from My Sentiments Exactly, another set of gifted items

3. reddish-purple and green ivy Memento Ink pads (also gifted by a generous artisan friend)

and

Card #2= Gold for the King of Kings Easter card (worthy is the lamb that was slain)

and a close-up scan of the lettering to see the little lamb above the letter T in Easter

A few design notes for the Easter card:

a. the little lamb sticker is from a very old Sunday School type company from maybe 35-45 years ago!!!

b. there are 3 layers and colors of cardstock from different vendors and have been in my stash for many years; same for the gold glitter decorative tape

c. gold metallic alpha stickers are from Freckled Fawn

d. the floral arrangement is a panel section from a napkin!!!! YES!!!

THICC #137 ACG starts 4 April 2023

This posting is to showcase my DT inspiration card for THICC #137.

What: THICC is short for The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenges blog

When: #137, starts April 4, Tuesday, 2023 for 2 weeks

Why: Anything Christmas Goes theme always at THICC; I chose to use a gift tag image freebie received from an organization to use as my focal

Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night! card=

Notes:

1. white left-sided folded A2 card = The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby

2. sky blue cardstock cut to approx. 4"x5"

3. kraft tag was inked 3 times (purple, blue, and blue-green) with Mementos ink pads

4. focal upcycled gift tag; edges inked with blue

5. white and silver snowflake dazzle/sticker = Paper Wishes/Hot Off The Press

6. black and white Christmas phrases decorative tape = given to me by a crafter friend
