My MTTC design team card for theme #527 on 9 February 2024

purpose: this posting features my design team contribution to My Time To Craft challenge blog's #527. The theme was suggested by me for Valentine's/love occasions. 

when: #527 starts February 9 and ends on February 22, 2024

what: #527 theme is Cupid(s) and arrow(s); I've used a clipart image that has Cupid in action with his bow and arrow

notes:

1. Cupid with bow and arrow clipart image is from The Clip Art Library website; free for personal use; printed on purple copy paper and fussy cut

2. purple cardstock trimmed to about 3.25" wide x 6" high

3. purple netting = stash; cut roughly using decorative scissors

4. stamps ('love', dash marks, part of a wreath, and heart) = Creative Devotions/American Crafts

5. background  florals, hummingbird, and text is the top decorative layer of a napkin wrapped around a piece of recycled white cardstock packaging = stash items; napkin received several years ago for a swap

6. puffy stickers (dots in 2 sizes and colors plus 2 hearts) = Freckled Fawn (new item)

MTTCC #78 Holly and or Berries theme DT card for 19 January 2024

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!

Purpose: this post showcases my manager/DT commitment to My Time To Craft Christmas

When: January 19, 2024 is the start date for #78 theme of Holly and/or Berries; competition lasts for 13 days

What: Let There Be Light (and Holly, Pine, and Poinsettia!) card

Notes:

1. altered boxed card from a mixed design set; bought at 50% off at Dollar General; card front panel was trimmed using decorative-edge scissors

2. green cardstock = Neenah

3. candle flames color enhanced = Goldfish Orange and Canary Yellow alcohol markers from Arteza

4. holly spray, small pinecone, and plaid heart stickers = Simple Stories; the white edges of the pinecone and holly were changed with Condensed Milk alcohol marker from Arteza (yes!)--helps to blend into the champagne color of the upcycled card panel

MTTC #513 Shades of Blue DT card for 28 July 2023

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! Today's heart happy posting is sharing my DT inspiration card for MTTC, My Time to Craft challenge blog.

WHAT: #513 theme is shades of blue (monochromatic blue tones/shades; neutrals and metallics allowed but keep them minimal)

WHEN: July 28-August 10, 2023

SHOW and TELL: birthday candles card

1. base is the light-medium blue; cut to approx. 5.5" high x 4" wide

2. white cardstock is about the same size

3. navy blue cardstock is the same size as an index card

4. light blue with little white stars cardstock is about 4"square

5. stenciling; was part of a circular stencil bought at Dollar Tree; traced with pencil first and then after stamping, I used a medium blue marker for contrast

6. "HB" stamp is a very old Stampin' Up product; one of my favorites that I use a lot

MTTC #503 Theme of Birthday DT inspiration card for 10 March 2023

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! Today's post is my birthday theme DT inspiration project for My Time to Craft challenge blog. DT member Maria selected this topic. Each gal was assigned 2 challenges in the first 6 months of the year for their desired themes. And this worked out perfectly because my sister-in-law has an end of the month birthday and her favorite color is blue. Competition is from March 10-23, 2023.

1. embossing folder = Cuttlebug; received a Cuttlebug and this folder along with a few others and a die from a wonderful craft-artisan friend!

4. Happy Birthday stamps = Raisin Boat/Sum More Fun

5. recycled papers = the black and white graphic print is the lining from security envelope!! --Did you guess that????

MTTC #501 Theme of Vintage or Shabby Chic DT inspiration card for 10 February 2023

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My heart is thrilled to share this antique postcard 'Easter Greetings' that I found in my local antique/resale shop. I paid 80 cents! YES! Believe me, I walked out of there with 12 others! I've already gifted 4 to my nieces! 

I need to get back in there. The owner says he's got a couple of more boxes filled with postcards for me to sift through!!! YES! 

My Time To Craft's #501 theme is vintage or shabby chic. This topic was presented by DT member Meena! Competition days are February 10-23, 2023. 

Thinking of You Easter Greetings display card=

Theme requirements: vintage--on the back side of the postcard, the postmark shows 1909!!! Wow!!! 

and for shabby chic elements I did a mix of prints, have the floral garland type washi tape, mostly soft hues except for the darker blues, light pink tulle/netting (2 layers barely showing on the bottom half under the plaid and postcard but is over the top of the polka dotted ribbon tape)
