My Christmas or not Bingo Challenges #18 DT project for March 1 to Apr 15

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!

why: This posting showcases my DT/owner inspiration project for Christmas or not Bingo Challenges! For project #1 I chose Column G using 4 of the 5 elements: rainbow, purple, free and make own background. I've used colored pencils, watercolor markers and alcohol markers across the card in different ways. And I took time on Feb 28 to create (project #2) a sample of Column B using all elements: raindrops, blue, free, watercolor and splatters.

when: #18 starts March 1 and ends on April 15, 2026

what: Project #1 =

how-to & vendor notes for #1 =

Column G:

1. rainbow = two/double rainbow stickers used = Hello Hobby/Walmart;

2. purple = dark purple, magenta + pink-lavender watercolor markers: stash item; Lilac Thistle, a pinkish lavender, alcohol marker by Nuvo (on clouds and upper half of the center punched circle); lavender puffy heart sticker: Hello Hobby/Walmart; "Make a Wish" text sticker was pale pink and i inked it with Lilac Grey alcohol marker by Nuvo and the sticker is from the Maggie Holmes sticker book

3. free = flowers, birdhouse w/ bird, dragonfly & butterfly stickers: are all from Antique Gardens sticker book by Maggie Holmes/American Crafts; cloud cut-outs use Georgia Pacific white cardstock that I sketched and fussy cut and highlighted with dark purple marker, the Lilac Thistle a.m. and two purple tones colored pencil from stash box; center circle punched circle is more CS from Georgia Pacific and inked with dark purple marker for lower half and Lilac Thistle alcohol marker for upper half; stamped "don't forget" by Heidi Swapp; black ink stamp pad by Hero Arts; black extra fine tip marker pen by Sharpie to finish expression;

4. NO BLEACHING

5. make own background = started with a 3.5" x 5" print plaid paper (lavender tones, aqua and white) by Recollections; added watercolor marker alternating lines in dark purple, magenta and a pinkish-lavender in order to make it mine...or at least more mine

where #1 will be linked =

1A. 613 Avenue Create; new on Sunday March 1; anything goes or opt of something with wings; My rainbows and clouds card is for the option: look closely for the small dragonfly, small butterfly and a small bird perched on top of the birdhouse

and

what: project #2 = Column B

how-to & vendor notes for #2:

21. RAINDROPS:

a. faux raindrops with ink/water splatters, enamel dots, ellipse shapes

b. also the base dot print cardstock was chosen because of the columns of dots mimicking the look of falling rain

22. BLUE:

a. 4 different blue watercolor markers from stash box (different vendors)

b. enamel dots in 3 different blue tones = Freckled Fawn

c. ellipse shaped blue puffy pieces = Studio G/Hampton Arts

d. base dot print glossy cardstock = from multicolor & multi-design pack = Crafter's Square

e. navy blue lettering stickers = Sticko/EKSuccess/American Crafts

23. FREE:

a. other colors besides blue seen in the choice of base dot print cardstock

b. little gray linen handmade paper used for the watercolor markers/chromatography painting and splatters

24. WATERCOLOR:

a. four different watercolor markers were scribbled in column widths onto the gray handmade paper then each got its own paintbrush dipped in water. Painted in vertical motions. After a minute or so after painting each color, I used tissues to dab and soak up most of the extra water (and also floating ink). This helped the paper to dry faster but also faded the intensity of the inks.

25. SPLATTERS:

a. brushes = kids set by Crayola

b. the smallest brush was used as the last step and swirled in the water that all the marker inks paint brushes were rinsed in and then this smallest brush was tapped at the end of the handle many times across the paper to create splatters. I didn't soak up this water. I let it sit and dry on the paper.

where #2 will be shared:

Also getting snow and/or occasional sleet or ice can also happen as storm fronts move through from different directions. We can get colder weather coming down from Canada or we can get warmer gulf stream air pushing up from the south; I'll be sharing my splattered raindrops cards

ConBC #16 picked 2 bingo columns DT projects on 1 Nov 2025

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!

why: The purpose of this posting is to share my next owner/DT inspiration projects for Christmas or not Bingo Challenges. #16 bingo board has wonderful variety from column to column. It was hard to select just 1 (since the rest of the team is always so ultra fabulous)!!! And the other DT members and Guest DTs focused on using I, N and O so I didn't want to leave out columns B or G and created one for each of those.

when: ConBC #16 starts November 1 and ends on December 15, 2025 (then we take a 2 week break between challenges and will return on January 1, 2026)

what: Project #1 = Column B (appreciation, yellow & gold, free, weave)

how-to & vendor notes for #1 using Column B=

1. Thanksgiving/Appreciation = "so very thankful" vellum from Farmstead Harvest by American Crafts

2. yellow & gold = two little yellow enamel hearts by Fancy Pants Designs; harvest gold tones in the flowers and dotted print paper by Simple Stories from an old card kit; also metallic gold decorative tapes (unsure on the vendor; it's been in my stash for several years)

3. free = the different products like enamels, vellum, die-cut ephemera, etc.

4. weave = strips of the gold metallic decorative tape were applied in a partial weave overlapping/some over and some under sections; (again, I'm unsure of the vendor since it's been removed from packaging and been in my washi tape collection in stash for years)

5. did not use textured paste! = I would like to try this. Haven't yet but would sometime.

a. brown marker pen for outlining around yellow cardstock = Zebra Clickart

b. yellow cardstock panel = Pen + Gear

c. kraft cardstock base panel = Colorbok

where #1 will be linked =

1A. Ellibelle's Garden Party; still open into early Nov.; theme of anything in or from the garden; My appreciation card has harvest tone large flowers (die-cut ephemera)

link = https://www.simplyellibelle.com/2025/10/ellibelles-garden-party-no-8-anything.html

1B. Crafts Galore Encore; new on Nov 1; theme of anything goes

link = https://cardsgalorechallenges.blogspot.com/2025/11/november-2025-crafts-galore-encore.html

1C. Do-al(l) Kreatives; new on Nov 1; theme of anything goes (opt of bookmark); My harvest color and flowers appreciation card is for anything goes

link = https://do-allkreatives.blogspot.com/2025/11/107-lesezeichen.html

1D. The Four Seasons; new on Nov 1; continuing theme of fall season; This appreciation card is packed with harvest/autumn seasonal colors in browns/tans/kraft, harvest golds, yellows, peach and orange, muted greens

link = https://thefourseasonschallenge.blogspot.com/2025/11/fall-season-november-2025.html

---------------------------------------

and

what: Project #2 = column G (New Year, metallics, free, sentiment focus)

how-to & vendor notes for #2 =

21. New Year = 2026 is included in the sentiment; also the sentiment choice is motivational which lends to creating goals/resolutions

22. metallics = embossed puffy pieces are stickers from 2 different sets = Crafter's Square

23. free = brown geometric print paper is 1/4 of 12" square sheet called Dots & Lines Six by Reminisce; I liked the vertical marks and browns to go with the vertical/soaring of the hot air balloons; light gray linen paper (stash); blue copy paper (Colorbok); deckle-edge scissors (Fiskars); black ink pad for edging (Hero Arts)

24. didn't use smooshing or dabbing!

25. sentiment as focus = I created a Google Doc; font size is at 45!; due to low printer ink toner, I went over the lettering with a black Sharpie

where #2 will be linked =

2A. Girlz Creative Fun Art of Scrap; new on Oct 25; theme is to use at least 1 designer paper; on this New Year hot air balloon card, the base is a designer paper with a brown marks staggered print

2D. The Paper Funday; about 1 day left open; theme of anything goes or opt of cute or creepy; this New Year 2026 card is neutral/anything goes...yet I'm creeped out by the thought that 2025 is almost over!!! Crazy!
