My Time To Craft Christmas new Theme Have a Krafty Christmas

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My artsy-crafty heart really likes kraft paper and cardstock! It's great with red for Christmas cards yet it is also wonderful for nature scenes or neutral palette challenges. For the new MTTCC theme challenge, I decided I'd go to my download file of saved free clipart and coloring pages to check and see what I had in the way of Christmas or winter pics. After passing over snowmen and pine trees, my eyes glanced at this multiple houses drawing clipart and then widened. I immediately thought this would be easy to give the house doors either red or green color, maybe some yellow in most of the windows and then pair up with a great small print cardstock. And here's my Christmas card for #14=

Design and vendor notes (and there are 3 more cropped scanned pics of the card at the end of this posting):

1. free clipart image of multiple houses with 1 or 2 looking like church buildings

2. three different values of green markers, a red, a brown, and a yellow were used to add some color to the buildings

3. a thin sheet of kraft paper was inserted into my printer tray in order to print out this clipart 'panel' which meets the required theme element of kraft/krafty

4. Fancy Pants Designs 6 x 6 paper pad collection provided the striped cardstock and the sentiment banner; 4" x 6" are the dimensions for the striped background panel

6. Pen + Gear provided the white diamond cut glitter paper; I purchased a 25 sheet pack at Wal-Mart; 4.5" x 6.5" are the dimension for the white glitter paper panel

7. The Paper Source company website was the vendor for the deep red folded card base 5" x 7"; I bought matching envelopes, so that's a wonderful quality for mailing

8. Paper Wishes company website was the vendor for the white and silver metallic border accents and snowflakes that they call dazzles

CHD 15 July 2021 no 34 Anything Goes Theme Challenge Month features 2 DT Cards

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My artsy-crafty heart is super excited to be able to showcase 2 digital images from the CHD Etsy shop! Owner Mary Smith and her husband both contribute to their inventory and have been busy designing new digital images. Mary agreed to let me use the "Snow Gnome" digi created just this week!! It is THAT new! There are so many other challenge blogs having Christmas in July themes that I wanted to hurry and use "Snow Gnome" for the July competition. And then several weeks back with summertime in my thoughts, I asked Mary if I could use the "Tropical Bird Rain Forest" digi for this July 15th release posting date. She said yes, so that will be showcased in this post, too. So fun. This vibrant rain forest scene will be perfect for an aunt's birthday whose grandson is in Costa Rica. Andrew and his wife just had their first baby, a girl, just a few weeks ago. Not only is Andrew her oldest grandchild/grandson, his daughter is her first great grandchild! I think she's going to love this image!

Guest Designer Spotlight for Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges Blog

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My artsy-crafty heart got mixed up on dates and I forgot to make my own post this week for the #500 challenge at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenges blog!! Luckily I made the card about 3 weeks ago and sent the photo to Geesje!!! A few weeks ago one of my cards I linked to PPCC got picked for top honor and I received 3 free images from Pattie's Creations and then I got to pick this delightful frog digital image from Twinkle Lane Designs to use for my GD card project. My heart has been so blessed. June was also my birthday month, so getting the surprise free images was like another birthday gift.

This cute frog card was given to my great aunt who lives near us and she's got several frogs in her front yard, so I thought she'd enjoy the image. Her birthday is the day before mine! My mom was in labor on her bday but I took my time and was born the next morning! :)
