My Time To Craft Christmas style theme of Off The Page starts 13 August 2021

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! This is the 16th fortnight challenge for the sister blog MTTCC to its MTTC! My artsy-crafty heart can't believe how quickly 2021 seems to be progressing. This Christmas card challenge blog started in mid-January and we are ready for our 16th competition period!!! The new challenge theme is what I'm referring to as a style theme. Shell wants us to go "off the page" with how we style or format our Christmas cards.

I've interpreted that 2 ways with my red glitter panel by (1) using lots of foam adhesive squares to lift it off the page or base card and (2) shortened the length of the card just a bit in order for the panel to be off the side of the base. I'm very impressed with the results: style, color, mix of prints, and the wise men visit portrayal.

*My Time To Craft Christmas challenge blog #16

*Starts 13 August 2021 for 13 days

*Christmas/winter cards must show some type of "off the page" aspect; besides my 2 methods there are different fold formats and easel cards that would work when a focal piece or sentiment piece is extended off to a side as well as interactive function accent pieces that have a spring or folded accordion step section to lift and dangle an accent piece from the card base

"Oh Come Let Us Adore Him" said the Wise Men Christmas card=

Design and vendor notes:
a. Echo Park's Away in a Manger collection gets the credit for making this wonderful religious Christmas card come together: the script patterned CS is 1 side of the "Heavenly Hosts" item in the collection along with the wise men sticker and the OCLUAH sticker
b. The script patterned cardstock is printed in navy blue with white print. If you click on the above closeup scanned photo you should be able to see that I changed the little white dots to red ones and the stars went from white to silver metallic!!! Those are little details that make looking at the card in person very impressive regarding color repetition.
c. charcoal gray cardstock is from Astrobrights/Neenah
d. white with red diagonal striped paper was actually a sticker back application
e. almost navy blue with white dot cardstock has been in stash a long time and I forget who the vendor is
f. red glitter foam piece could have been sticker backed applied but I didn't peel that off since I used foam adhesive squares to lift the piece off the surface of the card
g. 3 clear/silvery looking crystal cut gems for accent...I absolutely LOVE this card!!! The mix of colors, prints, layers and then the coordinates from Echo Park just combined into an amazing Christmas card!!!

My Time To Craft Christmas new Theme Have a Krafty Christmas

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My artsy-crafty heart really likes kraft paper and cardstock! It's great with red for Christmas cards yet it is also wonderful for nature scenes or neutral palette challenges. For the new MTTCC theme challenge, I decided I'd go to my download file of saved free clipart and coloring pages to check and see what I had in the way of Christmas or winter pics. After passing over snowmen and pine trees, my eyes glanced at this multiple houses drawing clipart and then widened. I immediately thought this would be easy to give the house doors either red or green color, maybe some yellow in most of the windows and then pair up with a great small print cardstock. And here's my Christmas card for #14=

Home for the Holidays Christmas card: (or should it be homes for the holidays???)

Design and vendor notes (and there are 3 more cropped scanned pics of the card at the end of this posting):

1. free clipart image of multiple houses with 1 or 2 looking like church buildings

2. three different values of green markers, a red, a brown, and a yellow were used to add some color to the buildings

3. a thin sheet of kraft paper was inserted into my printer tray in order to print out this clipart 'panel' which meets the required theme element of kraft/krafty

4. Fancy Pants Designs 6 x 6 paper pad collection provided the striped cardstock and the sentiment banner; 4" x 6" are the dimensions for the striped background panel

6. Pen + Gear provided the white diamond cut glitter paper; I purchased a 25 sheet pack at Wal-Mart; 4.5" x 6.5" are the dimension for the white glitter paper panel

7. The Paper Source company website was the vendor for the deep red folded card base 5" x 7"; I bought matching envelopes, so that's a wonderful quality for mailing

8. Paper Wishes company website was the vendor for the white and silver metallic border accents and snowflakes that they call dazzles

My Time To Craft Christmas challenge no 12 theme is Use Favorite Christmas Stamp

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! My artsy-crafty heart got excited about this new theme challenge for MTTCC challenge blog! I don't have a lot of Christmas or wintery stamps but decided to use 2 new ones purchased about 8 months ago. (1) It's a mitten with a heart in the center of the outline shape! So adorable! (2) The perfect sentiment stamp "From the Heart".

Details:

What: My Time To Craft Christmas challenge blog's theme is Use Favorite Christmas Stamp and tell why

Who: me, design team member of MTTCC

When: MTTCC #12 starts June 18

Why: DT inspiration card for #12; in the intro I shared my reason that these are newly purchased rubber stamps; also I've pondered that with my personal blog having the word heart in its title, the mitten's heart and the expression 'from the heart' are going to make these my new favorites! :)

Where: MTTCC #12 link=

Note: #12 is now available when I checked on 6/19 at 4:30 am CST. [we just got a dog on the evening of the 14th!!! A 9 year old small mixed breed male dog that was named Junior but he didn't really respond to so I'm calling him Mr. Bennett after the father in Pride and Prejudice!!! We're in the midst of severe thunderstorms and Bennett needed to go out at 4 am!!! He's drying while I'm checking on the status of the blog. Take care, folks. Check to see what are the favorite stamps for the rest of the crew=

3. patterned cardstock are Side A and B of same sheet from the Away in the Manger collection from Echo Park

4. silver 'dazzles' are available from Paper Wishes website

5. card base is A2 or 4.25" x 5.5"

layout for this card is using Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers blog and FB group's June 2021 sketch (#11) =

My sketch interpretation was to move the circle shape up and also lower the horizontal strip because it fits the patterned gap between the rows of the Nativity Manger scenes. The sentiment rectangle was switched to vertical for 2 reasons: the stamp format and the fitting between the vertical space between Nativity Manger scenes.
