Sloths Just Wanna Have Fun slimline card

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!

why: this posting features a non-design team project to share at several current challenge blogs owned by others.  Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!

why: I'm switching my MMMJP #26 personal series posting from another personal blog that I use for the bulk of my DT commitments. why: This post shares my newest design team inspiration project for #10 challenge at Paper-Rocks-Scissors owned by friend Deanne. ConBC #16 picked 2 bingo columns DT projects on 1 Nov 2025

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!

why: The purpose of this posting is to share my next owner/DT inspiration projects for Christmas or not Bingo Challenges. #16 bingo board has wonderful variety from column to column. It was hard to select just 1 (since the rest of the team is always so ultra fabulous)!!! And the other DT members and Guest DTs focused on using I, N and O so I didn't want to leave out columns B or G and created one for each of those.

when: ConBC #16 starts November 1 and ends on December 15, 2025 (then we take a 2 week break between challenges and will return on January 1, 2026)

what: Project #1 = Column B (appreciation, yellow & gold, free, weave)

how-to & vendor notes for #1 using Column B=

1. Thanksgiving/Appreciation = "so very thankful" vellum from Farmstead Harvest by American Crafts

2. yellow & gold = two little yellow enamel hearts by Fancy Pants Designs; harvest gold tones in the flowers and dotted print paper by Simple Stories from an old card kit; also metallic gold decorative tapes (unsure on the vendor; it's been in my stash for several years)

3. free = the different products like enamels, vellum, die-cut ephemera, etc.

4. weave = strips of the gold metallic decorative tape were applied in a partial weave overlapping/some over and some under sections; (again, I'm unsure of the vendor since it's been removed from packaging and been in my washi tape collection in stash for years)

5. did not use textured paste! = I would like to try this. Haven't yet but would sometime.

a. brown marker pen for outlining around yellow cardstock = Zebra Clickart

b. yellow cardstock panel = Pen + Gear

c. kraft cardstock base panel = Colorbok

where #1 will be linked =

1A. Ellibelle's Garden Party; still open into early Nov.; theme of anything in or from the garden; My appreciation card has harvest tone large flowers (die-cut ephemera)

link = https://www.simplyellibelle.com/2025/10/ellibelles-garden-party-no-8-anything.html

---------------------------------------

and

what: Project #2 = column G (New Year, metallics, free, sentiment focus)

how-to & vendor notes for #2 =

21. New Year = 2026 is included in the sentiment; also the sentiment choice is motivational which lends to creating goals/resolutions

22. metallics = embossed puffy pieces are stickers from 2 different sets = Crafter's Square

23. free = brown geometric print paper is 1/4 of 12" square sheet called Dots & Lines Six by Reminisce; I liked the vertical marks and browns to go with the vertical/soaring of the hot air balloons; light gray linen paper (stash); blue copy paper (Colorbok); deckle-edge scissors (Fiskars); black ink pad for edging (Hero Arts)

24. didn't use smooshing or dabbing!

25. sentiment as focus = I created a Google Doc; font size is at 45!; due to low printer ink toner, I went over the lettering with a black Sharpie

where #2 will be linked =

My Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenges Blog at TFATU #11 DT projects on 1 Nov 2025

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!

why: The purpose of this personal blog posting is to showcase my owner/DT inspiration projects for Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenges Blog or HQFCB. We're still using the old TFATU address and I'm hoping to give HQFCB it's own blog address in 2026. For now, we can be found through The Fairy And The Unicorn. During 2024 and 2025 we've been having a fantasy focus option each month with November's having 2 options: Yeti and/or Abominable Snowman. We want to help our readers and participants to work ahead and get ready for the holiday and winter season activities and/or New Year wishes. The main theme is always 'anything goes fantasy'. Not whimsical. The creatures, characters or accessories need to be connected to fantasy fiction books/movies, mythology and/or fairy tales.

I've chosen to have Project #1 as a little pumpkin shaped card showing a pumpkin house and gnome for AFG theme. He still has flowers blooming and has his watering can in his hands, ready to go!

For Project #2 I've chosen a Bigfoot clipart image for the November fantasy focus option.

when: #11 in 2025 starts on 1st Saturday or November 1, 2025 until Nov 30, 2025.

what: Project #1 = Pumpkin House & Gnome (to represent Anything Fantasy Goes)

5. Zebra Clickart = gray retractable marker pen for outlining everything

where #1 will be linked =

Loving my CCMWF October Scripture Encouragement Card Exchange project

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!

why: This is my first time to participate in the swap exchange that was started earlier this year within the Facebook group, Christian Card Makers Women's Fellowship. At the end of current month, the group members are given a few days to comment if they want to participate and how many times/partners they are willing to exchange cards with for the next month. Since I've got lots of challenge blog commitments, I only agreed to create and mail out 1. My exchange partner lives in New York state. I received her card on October 20th. Mine was started before then but due to weekend traveling, I finished mine on October 20th and am getting the blog draft ready on Oct 21-22.

when: October 2025 Scripture Encouragement card exchange; can't post until after my partner receives the card (mailing out on Oct 22) and posts a picture of this in the FB group; she posted on Oct 28!

what: Project #1 = Stained Glass Prayer Card

how-to & vendor notes for #1 = each person gets to select their own Scripture verse to share and however it's used regarding layout, colors, occasion, etc. I chose Psalm 9:1 for my card's verse sentiment.

1. Psalm 9:1 KJV typed in Google Doc; trimmed with deckle-edged scissors; ink dabbed and ink edged

2. Guava mini stamp pad = Lawn Fawn

3. white cardstock = Georgia Pacific

4. deep orange cardstock = Recollections

5. orange tone cardstock = Pen + Gear

6. stained glass prayer card = came in a religious organization's solicited mail at my mom's house sometime in the past 2 years; my mom had saved it and when I came upon it, I brought to my house and placed it in my stash basket. Prayer card edges were distressed using scissors' blade and inked with the Guava mini stamp pad.

7. kraft card (folded; however I cut it apart to create 2 layers with 1 deckle-edge trimmed a bit smaller; edges inked; foam tape between layers to lift up)

8. bright pink gems (from pack of 3 different sizes) = Studio G/Hampton Arts

AA #99 anything goes theme DT friendship card on 15 Oct 2025

Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog!

why: The purpose of this posting is to showcase my newest design team contribution to Ally's Angels! Ally's Angels is a challenge blog and we're at #99! The theme is always 'anything goes' so you get to use any occasion, any layout style, any techniques, etc. I've done some overlapped rectangles in 3 different sizes and a round punched circle to highlight the tea cup. Gray ink was used to outline the papers after they were adhered to the base. Guava/pink-coral tone ink was used on the wood laser cut 'friend' and on the punched circle.

when: #99 starts October 15 and will end on November 12, 2025.

what: Project #1 = Friend(ship) + tea = delight

how-to & vendor notes for #1 =

1. ivory cardstock for base cut to 4.25" x 5.5" = Neenah

2. light blue cardstock for background cut to approx. 3.75" x 4.75" = Neenah

3. floral and dot print papers (2 different sizes) = Summer Lovin' paper pad by Simple Stories (2022)

4. wood laser cut 'friend' (from a mixed set) = Crafter's Square

5. tea cup puffy sticker (from a mixed color and style set of teacups) = Crafter's Square

6. Guava (coral-pink tone) ink/mini stamp pad = Lawn Fawn; used on the wood word and punched circle under the tea cup

7. gray retractable marker pen = Zebra Clickart (outlining perimeters of all papers on top of the ivory base)

8. navy blue pearls = Crafter's Square (cut into small sections maybe 18 pearls each to fit into small storage containers; stored with other colors/types of pearls & gems) ===> not used often items

9. circle punch tool 2.25" diameter = EK Success

where #1 will be linked =

1A. First Cup Challenges; started on Oct 1st; anything with beverage/drink related; My friendship card has a tea cup and saucer.

1B. Dream Valley; new on Oct 6/week 2 of 2; add pearls or gems or both; I've used navy blue pearls on each side of the card

link = https://dreamvalley2.blogspot.com/2025/10/challenge-346-add-pearls-or-gems-or-both.html

1C. Neglected Stuff Challenge; started October 5; theme/purpose is to use old/over a year old and/or neglected/forgotten; On my card, both patterned prints are from a paper pad that is almost used up that was released in 2022; also the navy blue pearls because the package had a sheet with a 120 of them and I have other colors and types like plastic crystal-looking gems, these don't get used much. The navy blue brings out the the little blueberry type stems in the floral print and there is a mid-tone blue in the dots print that gets noticed more because of the navy pearls.

1E. LPOCF or Lil Patch of Crafty Friends; started Oct 5; theme of anything goes; My card is for AG; a friendship card; my childhood classmates and church youth group friends are scattered with several 2-3 hours drive away or even many states away so sending a friendship card occasionally is something I can do to remind them that I think they're special, a treasure to me
