who: Hey there! I'm Becca S from north central Illinois! I've lived in 5 states (IL, IN, TN, TX & MO)!!! I've had the awesome travel opportunities to visit a small part of Canada around the north side of several great lakes and a year or so later to spend 10 days of Christmas school break in Haiti. Both of those were during my teen years! My USA travels from childhood to now have covered 20 additional states to those that I've lived in! (OH, MI, PA, NY, MD, VA, WV, KY, NC, GA, FL, AL, AR, AZ, CO, KS, NE, IA, MN, WI) --lots of road trips!!

why: As much card/tag/bookmark-making that I'm doing, I find the mental and creative need to do different 'things' and/or return back to formats that I've neglected for many months. Last month, I made a decision to create a small binder to hold 2026 family and friend moments preserved on layout pages.

1. from kit = white CS = Tonic Studios

2. from kit = pale blue and pale lavender CS = Colorbok; used for center square areas shown on the sketch

5.  from kit = yellow butterfly stickers & 1 yellow/gold strip sticker with tiny flowers pulled from the sticker book = K & Company's Antique Garden

WHAT: #508 theme is dry embossing; this is not a Christmas theme challenge blog--I've just chosen to use dry embossing folders with a present and a pine tree scene

1. the present stamp embossing folder (unknown company; received as gift); printed on neon bright pink paper but printer scanner light faded the color

MIUCB #65 Anything Goes with technique option of embossing DT card for 1 May 2023

WHAT: Mix It Up challenge blog Anything Goes with option of embossing

WHY: I'm a DT member and I chose an embossing folder to do the technique option.

WHEN: May 1-June 15, 2023

Bumblebee and Flowers Birthday card =

Notes:

1. tan cardstock base is 5" x 7"; brick patterned yellow with gold foil cardstock = both are from Recollections/Michaels Arts and Crafts

2. flower print cardstock = Fancy Pants Designs or Simple Stories (I'll have to double check that)

3. pink cardstock was embossed with a folder from Cuttle Bug = the Cuttle Bug and the folder and many of goodies can from a very generous crafting friend from a FB group

4. inks used to enhance the embossing = Pear Tart (lime green), Dandelion (yellow), and Lilac Posies (magenta) = Memento Inks that were gifted from another very generous crafting friend 

5. the bumblebee printed burlap piece = Crafter's Square (Dollar Tree store)

6. bronze foil 'HB' dazzle/sticker = Paper Wishes website

AACB #67 DT inspiration for 10 February 2023

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! This posting is for my co-own challenge blog with the super talented Leslie Turner. -- Ally's Angels. AACB has Anything Goes as its theme/non-theme! February 10, 2023 is the start date for the next round of AG competition #67. Bragging rights are possible.

In 2022 across crafting blogland, there have been challenge blogs to close. Several brave and talented artisans have started new ones and then there are some like Leslie and I who have taken and transitioned ownership. To old and new participants at Ally's Angels, thank you for supporting our endeavors!

THICC #133 DT inspiration for 7 February 2023

 Welcome to Becca's Heart for Creativity blog! This post is for a traditional DT commitment with The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge Blog. #133 starts on February 7, 2023 for just under 2 weeks. THICC is always Anything Christmas Goes. 

I received a new-to-me Cuttlebug and one of the embossing folders that I received from this marvelous Christian artisan became the focal for this outdoors vibe Christmas card. And with a small gifted die, I made the two specialty papered snowflakes.

Gathering the Tree for Christmas card =

a. Fun Stampers Journey = embossing folder for the trees and snowflakes scene

b. The Paper Studio = text print paper scrap

c. Dollar Tree store = plaid fabric remnant, twine, 2 cording, truck with bottle brush tree 'ornament' (I removed the thin black wire hanger), and wood grain decorative tape

d. Neenah = pale mint green cardstock

e. Colorbok = kraft cardstock

f. Sizzix =  Snowflakes #15 cutting die
