why: this posting showcases my newest design team contribution for My Time To Craft challenge blog! #548! The theme picked by another DT member is 'anything but a card'. Technically I'm using an index card BUT it is not a standard greeting card style, so I'm going with this! :)

what: entry #1 art journal (in a bullet style variation) = 1 layer wonder!!

My MTTCC #100 Red and Silver Theme Christmas Sweet Treats card on 22 Nov 2024

purpose: This post celebrates My Time To Craft Christmas Challenge Blog's #100 theme competition. It was my turn to suggest the topic and decided to have celebratory red and silver color combo Christmas/winter holiday cards.

Note: I own FQHSKCB and FQGGCB which are food content related challenge blogs. For FarmQuest HomeStyle Kitchen think of it as anything food goes or even as anything kitchen goes. Dinnerware, glassware, recipes, aprons, spatulas, measuring cups, candy, cookies, cocoa, etc. are welcomed there anytime. For FarmQuest Grocery Game Challenges think of it like a very popular Food Network cable TV show. There are 2 types of game challenges every 30-31 days with one based on store aisles of contents and the other based on alphabet foods such as H for honey, ham, hickory-smoked steak, hickory nuts, hazelnuts, etc. With the gingerbread cookie, candy canes, and peppermint swirl candies, if I didn't own FQHSKCB, I could link up. My MTTCC #99 Elves Theme DT card on 8 Nov 2024

purpose: The reason for this post is to showcase my latest contribution to My Time To Craft Christmas challenge blog (MTTCC) #99 elves theme. 

when: #99 starts November 8, 2024 and lasts for 13 days

what: Little Elf Playing on Santa's Ornaments Christmas card

notes:

1. base paper with gold metallic foiling = SU (6" square)

2. red and white buffalo plaid paper = The Paper Studio (5" square)

3. elf and ornament scene = Ai-generated Microsoft Designer digital image with some added coloring (edging, ornament strings, elf's face features and gloves, snowflake lines on the large dark red ornament) = (4" square)

4. gold plastic stars and gold glitter foam star stickers = Recollections

5. black ink pad for perimeter edging = Hero Arts

My HQFCB #11 (old TFATU) DT projects of AGF choice and option on 2 Nov 2024

purpose: this posting shares and shows diverse fantasy creatures' projects created for HQFCB (the old TFATU) for November 2024. I've never considered myself to be fully immersed into fantasy but the 'bug' was caught in first grade when I received a beautiful illustrated "Cinderella" for winning the class winter reading contest. The teacher had caterpillars up around the top of 2 walls and she placed stickers on your caterpillar for each book that you read at home during the month. I think it was for January or February. I LOVED that book.

what: PROJECT #1 = Anything Goes Fantasy choice: dragon, fairies, unicorn

notes for #1:

section A: the focal image was Ai-generated using Microsoft Designer however I did add lots of colors throughout the image using 3 different types of products: colored pencils or alcohol markers or glitter paint pen or black pen which will be designated as cp, am, gp and/or bm

from top to bottom and left to right: stars = bm; sky = cp; around pine trees in blue = am; unicorn's horn = gp; boards = am; cottage windows = gp; fairies' skin and hair = cp; fairies' wings = gp; dragon's belly = cp; red top mushrooms= cp; sand = am

My Christmas or Not Bingo DT #10 with a Column B and a Column O cards starting 1 Nov 2024

purpose: this posting showcases my newest DT contribution for Christmas or Not Bingo Challenges blog

when: #10 starts November 1-December 15, 2024; must use the BINGO board and only use 1 vertical column; mine is "o" for project #1 and 'b' for project #2 using sponsored image

what: Project #1 using 'O' column = free, purple, pearls, stenciling, doily 

notes for #1: 

1. base print red-purple paper = SU

2. purple/lavender and gray cardstocks = Art Skills

3. white cardstock base for the stenciled panel = Neenah

4. half doily top layer is silver foil, so I reversed it to the paper layer and used purple watercolor marker to make it purple = Crafter's Square (from a set of 12 small circular/scalloped doilies)

5. stencil = Pink and Main; colored pencils used to fill  are stash; handwritten Advent words

6. die-cuts = Simple Stories; red or pink colors changed to magenta (red-purple tone)

7. a mix of pearls and gems = Crafter's Square

what: Project #2 using sponsored Polkadoodles image x 3 = a trio of cactuses

notes for #2: using Column "B" 

11. hand-colored image(s) = desert cactus black and white image from Polkadoodles; sponsoring the Nov 1-Dec 15, 2024 competition; printed wallet size x 3; colored pencils (stash)

12. dots = puffy dots (Recollections); dotted paper in rust, orange, gray and white = Simple Stories; also bleached dots

13. slimline = horizontal slimline; 3.5" deep x 8" wide

14. bleaching = cotton-tip swabs used to apply bleach on 4 cardstocks/papers= (1) mint/sage green cardstock (Neenah) in horizontal swipes; (2) tan/light kraft tone cardstock base (old Pen + Gear) in dots along the bottom edge; (3) the rust/autumn tone large dot paper (Faboolous collection by Simple Stories) dotted just on the orange dots; and (4) the horizontal autumn tones striped paper (also Faboolous collection) swiped just on the dark brown stripes of the design

15. free = sentiment (created as Google Doc); gold stars (Recollections); black ink pad (Hero Arts)
